MS-DMR (Multispectral, Directional, Medium range) MKII
This is a personal, multi-spectrum thermal beacon, radiates in the thermal spectrum (most efficiently at 3-5 micron) and does not emit radiation in the visible or the near infrared region. It is equipped with a personal battery unit (PBU) and it is designed to be carried by the user. The beacon can be connected to the PBU by either a 3-meter flexible cable (for helmet, vehicle or other installation) or a short rigid connection (allowing the beacon to be handheld and aimed like a flashlight).
The MS (Multi-Spectral) version allows the user to control the spectrum of radiation from the following:
- Only thermal region (for thermal cameras)
- Only near infrared region (for image intensifiers and SLS)
- Both thermal and near-infrared regions simultaneously.
