This near-infrared laser pointer is a long-range light aiming weapon used to point out targets at ranges of up to 10 km at a wavelength of 850nm (NEAR IR). Its extremely miniature size provides the system designer the capability of integrating a very powerful laser into the crowded space of the gyro-stabilized gimbals system.
